Let us begin at the Beginning...
Genesis 1:1 (NIV) "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
All that is and shall be until the End, save God, began. All was naught, neither
light nor dark, matter nor space, until His Word. This is the beginning of it
all and the beginning of our tale. It is the beginning of a Faith and the
beginning of it's downfall.
In the beginning...
But God was. God was, is, and every shall be. God is infinite and immutable in
time (Malachi 3:6), in space (Jeremiah 23:2), in power (Genesis 17:1), and in
knowledge (Psalm 147). If ever a dream or ideal must be held as True for the
foundation of the Faith it lies here, and lie it does.
Before we consider an Infinite God let us consider the Infinite. Literally, that
which is without bounds. Neither origin nor termination. To be infinite is to
encompass the incalculable total of an analogue All. This is the Infinite, and
to the faithful this is their Lord. Always existing, always perfect, never
changing. That is, until The Beginning.
God, All, Perfect, found flaw, found void, found end to Himself as sufficiency.
God changed. God Created. In this Creation we see incongruity for how can the
infinite and immutable suddenly decide to split the heavens and the earth? Not
why, but how? Consider not will nor intent but possibility. Indeed, our earth,
our stars, our breath gives proof that God, as held, is false in nature or false
in Faithful minds. If infinite, not immutable. If immutable, not infinite. These
cannot coexist, lest we cannot exist.
In the beginning, began the lie.
